Overview

The Manage Schlage Control Access Configuration feature is an essential setting within the Global Settings of the Zentra software. This feature streamlines the setup process for Schlage locks, ensuring that necessary access configurations are automatically applied upon commissioning.

Functionality

When the Manage Schlage Control Access Configuration is enabled:

Offline Locks (Control, NDE/LE, CTE, XE360):

  • Upon commissioning, each lock is automatically assigned:
    • A new user group named after the lock.
    • A 24/7 access rule specific to that lock.
    • This setup allows immediate user access without requiring a database ‘sync’.
    • Real-Time Devices (Schlage RC, IP Bridge):
  • No automatic rules or user groups are created since changes can be sent directly to the device in real-time.
  • This feature is enabled by default for all MFR license types, ensuring that locks are ready for immediate use.

Use Case Example

For instance, when setting up a control lock for Apartment 101, the resident can be added to the user group, granting them 24/7 access to their apartment.

Setup Requirements

Enabling the Feature

Ensure that the “Manage Schlage Control Access Configuration” is activated in the Global Settings before commissioning the lock.

Manual Configuration

If not set prior, manually create and apply user groups and access rules, then ‘Sync’ the lock with the Zentra app to apply changes.

Supported Devices

Current Offline Locks: Schlage Control Lock, NDEB, LEB, XE360

Connectivity Requirement

Devices must have a BLE connection to function with Zentra. Note that NDE is not supported in offline mode.

Additional Notes

Offline locks can have additional rules applied, but these require a ‘tour/sync’ after application or must be set up before commissioning.
By following these guidelines, users can ensure efficient and effective management of Schlage lock access configurations within the Zentra software environment.
