Updating Firmware

This process is for updated Schlage real time and wireless devices (RC, NDE, LE, CTE). See Updating Firmware for information about other types of devices.
This menu selection will only be available when a firmware update is necessary.
Wireless locks will enter Fail Safe mode during a firmware update***
  1. Navigate to
    Devices
    .
  2. Click the
    Update Firmware
    button at the top of the page.
  3. Choose the
    Device type
     from the drop-down box.
  4. Choose the
    Device(s)
     from the drop-down box.
  5. Depending on the device type, choose either
    Update on check-in
     or
    Schedule Update
    . For online devices, you can choose the
    Update Now
     slider to update immediately.
  6. Notice the confirmation message at the bottom of the screen.
For offline devices (Control, XE360) the firmware update process is prompted by the mobile app. Wireless devices (NDE, LE, CTE) can also be updated using the mobile app the same as the offline device.
RC firmware cannot be downgraded to any firmware lower than 1.10.
