Create Schlage Device

This is the process to add Schlage devices to the Zentra software using the web app. This process applies to Control, RC, NDE, LE and XE360. In order to finish adding these devices to Zentra, they must be commissioned using the mobile app. These devices can be set up on the web app before finishing installation on the property to ensure that access rights and device settings are configured properly and applied during “commissioning” using the mobile app.
  1. Navigate to
    Devices
    .
  2. Click 
    Create Device
    and then choose
    Create Schlage Device
    .
  3. Enter the following into the fields:
    • Device Name
      : a meaningful name for the device Ensure device names meet Zentra requirements:
      • 1-20 characters (Engage allows up to 25)
      • Letters, numbers, and symbols (#, -, and spaces) only
      • Cannot start or end with spaces
      • No special characters beyond those listed
    • Device Usage
      : Helps Zentra know which doors to prioritize when adding programming credentials for No-Tour Sync. This section doesn’t impact device settings or functionality.
  4. Click
    Create
    .
  5. The new device will be added to the list on the Devices page.
The device must still be commissioned using the Zentra Mobile App. Please refer to the instructions on the Add Device page to learn more.
Additional information
When a new Device is created, two other items are created automatically:
The new user group will have the new schedule automatically assigned to it. This makes a simple way to add new users to Devices, and grant access, quickly. These automatically created groups and schedules cannot be deleted as usual, but they will be removed automatically when the Device is removed.
