The Devices tab is an administrator-specific view. Users will not be shown this view unless they have the Access Point – Modify permission.

This view shows all devices commissioned to the site. When the view loads, it will trigger a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) scan to search for devices in range. Once discovered, any devices in range will be shown under the In Range section of the list, whereas all other devices will be shown under Out of Range.

Selecting a device will open that device’s details view. The details view shows the device model, serial number, and firmware version. If the device was in range, selecting the details view will trigger an attempt to pair with the device via BLE. If pairing is successful, the device settings view will become available. All device settings can be modified via this screen in the mobile app or via the web app. Modifying the settings in one place will save against our cloud and immediately be reflected in the other location.

The iPhone app and the Android app look slightly different.

  • The menu is located across the bottom of the app.
  • Add device is located at the top of the screen.
  • Refresh is located at the top of the screen.
  • The menu is located in the “hamburger” menu.
  • Add device is the + sign on the top right.
  • Refresh is the green button on the lower right.
